How it works

From photos to a keepsake in four steps

The whole process takes about ten minutes of your time. We handle the rest.

1

Choose three stories

Pick from the Old Testament, New Testament, and Book of Mormon — each one teaches a lesson your family is living right now.

2

Introduce your children

Add each child's name and upload a few clear photos. That's all our illustrators need to capture their likeness.

3

Review every page

Within minutes your book is written and illustrated. Read it, request up to three changes, and approve when it's perfect.

4

Unwrap the hardcover

We print a beautiful 8.5″ hardcover in the USA and ship it to your door — most books arrive within two weeks.

Not just their name — their face

They'll recognize themselves on every page

Most personalized books swap in a name and call it done. Light and Lamb illustrates your actual children — their faces, their smiles — walking beside David, riding out the storm with the disciples, standing with the two thousand young warriors.

  • True to the scriptures. Events, people, and outcomes match the recorded accounts — your children witness the story, never rewrite it.
  • Centered on their change. Every story begins with a real problem — sharing, courage, forgiveness — and ends with your child applying what they learned.
  • A book they'll ask for. Kids re-read the story where they're the hero. This one plants scripture alongside.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is Light and Lamb?

Light and Lamb creates personalized hardcover picture books in which your children star in true scripture stories. In each story, your kids face a real-world challenge — like learning to share or being brave — step into an accurate scripture account, watch it unfold, and come home to apply the lesson. Illustrations feature your children's likeness, created from photos you upload.

Which scripture stories can we choose?

Each book includes three stories of your choice from a growing catalog spanning the Old Testament (David and Goliath, Noah's Ark, Joseph in Egypt), the New Testament (the Good Samaritan, the loaves and fishes, Jesus calming the storm), and the Book of Mormon (Nephi and the brass plates, Ammon, the stripling warriors).

Are the scripture stories accurate?

Yes. The scriptural events, people, and outcomes match the recorded accounts. Your children enter the story as witnesses at its edges — they experience it and learn from it, but never change what happened. Language is softened where needed for ages 3–8.

How does the book use my children's photos?

You upload a few clear photos of each child. Our illustration process uses them only as a likeness reference so your children are recognizable on every page. Photos are private, are never used to train AI models, are never shared beyond the processing needed to make your book, and you can delete them from your account at any time.

Can I review the book before it's printed?

Always. You see every page — words and pictures — before anything is printed. You can request up to three changes, such as redrawing a picture or adjusting the text. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.

How long does it take to arrive?

Your book is written and illustrated within minutes, and you review it the same day. After you approve it, hardcover printing takes 3–5 business days plus US shipping — most families receive their book within about two weeks of approval.

How much does it cost?

A personalized hardcover book is $45, including three stories, custom illustrations of your children, your review with up to three changes, printing, and shipping anywhere in the United States.

What ages is it for?

The stories are written for children roughly ages 3–8 — short, warm, read-aloud pages with rich illustrations — but families tell us older siblings love seeing themselves in the pictures too.
